Well, today its going to be a relatively short post, because 1: I am feeling particularly lazy, and 2: I am currently trying to listen to some music which is streaming live from Spotify
.
My husband had a spotify invite ages ago, so now we both use the service under his login details. Spotify is a free music service, which gives you access to it’s almost endless list of great quality music without cost. To find out more about it, and to get an invite, visit his blog:

Moving on…
I have been watching various atheist videos on YouTube lately and I am once again astounded by the ridiculous comments that various religious fanatics are posting. I am amazed at their ability to either completely miss the point, or think that they are justifying their faith by quoting phrases from their collective holy scripture. This is irrespective of the fact that they have been presented with irrefutable evidence against their dogmatic faith. I find it interesting that the faithful are quick to point the finger and ask for evidence supporting the claims made by atheists, (which incidentally the atheists always manage to provide), yet when we ask them to do the same, they falter, then once again, begin to spout the same old nonsense contained in their respective holy books.
I don’t think these idiots understand what evidence is or even what science is. For example, a certain Islamic video on YouTube claimed that It had proof that the Qur’an contained evidence of advanced scientific knowledge. This claim was apparantly justified because one person managed to interpret a poetic phrase as a reference to the big bang. When an atheist retorted, and highlighed the fact that the Qur’an also describes the sun as having it’s own orbit, the religious fanatics came back with an illogical and unsupported claim, that the atheist was wrong – of course the sun has an orbit!
Lets set a few things straight here…. I will start with one of many definitions of the word ‘orbit’, this one in particular comes from Dictionary.com:
‘ the curved path, usually elliptical, described by a planet, satellite, spaceship, etc., around a celestial body, as the sun.’
The sun does not have a path or circle around any other celestial body. Therefore the sun does not orbit. The sun actually rotates, as do all stars in our solar system, around the galactic centre, due to the gravitational pull of a black hole..
I do not wish to go into a long rant about astronomy or science etc, as I am writing for a blog, not a science journal. However if you wish to find out more, all you need to do is to open up your web browser, and search via Google or Wikipedia. Alternatively you can go to the local library.
Understanding about orbits is just one of many things, it appears, that the dogmatic believers out there cannot seem to grasp. Before dismissing Evolution or the laws of gravity etc, it might be a good idea to actually know what these things are. The funny thing is, is that while theists continue to shout for evidence (which is readily and publicly available) that supports the arguments of many atheists, they don’t give any of their own. I have not seen a sliver of documentation supporting the claims spouted by any religious sect.
If one claims that they can shoot peppermints out of their backside, it is their job to prove it – not anyone elses. The same applies to theists. If your god exists as you so vehemently claim, then prove it!
Anyway, thats enough for today, I think I have made my point fairly clear. As a side note, if you are a regular YouTube visitor, I suggest that you watch the videos made thunderf00t. All the scientific evidence needed to support atheism is neatly and coherently presented in Thunderf00t’s video’s.
Have a good rest of the weekend.
Bye for now,
